RETRO Observational Data

The RETRO project did not perform any measurements of the atmosphere but concentrated on three aspects with respect to the use of existing observational data sets:

• accessibility of data sets including their documentation and quality assurance
• harmonisation of data formats and data access
• use of observational data to derive long-term trends in tropospheric ozone

 

	A new data base for observations was developed at NILU: http://nadir.nilu.no/retro/. This database made use of the comprehensive metadata standards of the Envisat CalVal activity and developed new ways of exploring the availability of specific data sets.
