These data sets contain the "harmonized" output from the three global chemistry transport or chemistry climate models which have simulated the entire 41-year period from 1960-2000.

All files are in netcdf format and are documented according to the CF-1.0 standard. Use the ncdump tool available from unidata.ucar.edu if you want to analyse the contents of these files.
The set-up and results of the RETRO reanalysis simulations are described in the report D4-4. As an example, the figure below shows the time series of summertime boundary layer ozone over European mid-latitudes.
